The mother of retired tennis star Anna Kournikova was arrested Tuesday for child neglect after her five-year-old son jumped from a second story window and was found wandering the street, according to the Palm Beach police department.

Alla Kournikova, 46, told police her son had refused to do his chores, so she locked him in the house with a cell phone. The boy then apparently jumped out the second-story balcony 15 feet down in between two air conditioning units onto a white stone yard.

He told police he jumped out the balcony and then into the pool because his feet hurt. Neighbors called police, who responded to the call that a child was unattended outside the residence at around 2 p.m.

The boy was treated by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Actor Liam Neeson is giving back to the arts in his native country of Ireland. The “Taken” star recently raised around 0,000 to help renovate and rebuild Belfast’s Lyric Theatre.

The actor called on other Hollywood pals to help raise funds by throwing a black tie gala in New York in early January. Meryl Streep and Aidan Quinn were just a couple of the many celebrities that attended to offer their support.

The County Antrim-born star is Patron of the Lyric and began his professional career there in the 1970s.

The night included performances by Irish musicians Brian Kennedy and Conleth Hill. Neeson then took to the microphone to encourage those in attendance to step up and help support the theatre’s fundraising campaign.

Michael C. Hall’s cancer battle may be common knowledge to almost everyone who browses the Web, but a New York Times reporter was apparently left in the dark when he mocked the “Dexter” star’s head gear at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

NY Times’ The Moment blog Tweeted during the awards night, “Is Michael C. Hall playing Bob Marley in an upcoming movie? Don’t get the hat or what he is hiding under it?”

Understandably, a lot of people were upset since the 38-year-old actor recently announced that he was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

An apology post quickly followed, saying, “So sorry that Michael C. Hall has had cancer. Thanks for clarifying why he is wearing a knitted skull cap.”

Former engaged couple Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox may or may not be betrothed again, but one thing is for sure, the former “Beverly Hills 90210″ actor did not Tweet his relationship status over the weekend.

According to various sites, Green supposedly wrote on his Twitter that he is “engaged and [has] a son from [his] previous relationship” after a fan asked if he was married and had kids.

Although the actor provided details of his apparent engagement, it was assumed he was talking about Fox.

But according to GossipCop.com, Green made no such announcement simply because he doesn’t have a Twitter account.

Candie’s announced today that it renewed its partnership with pop star Britney Spears to promote the company’s brand for another year. Available exclusively at Kohl’s department stores, Spears will appear in Candie’s marketing campaigns throughout 2010.

During 2009, Candie’s saw sales surge with Britney Spears as the face of the brand. Among promotions were ads during her sold-out “Circus” shows, online and in-store advertising, and even Spears sporting different Candie’s looks in her music video for “Radar.”

“I had a great experience working with Candie’s and Kohl’s last year and I am thrilled to be asked to sign on again for a second year,” Spears stated on the re-newed partnership. “We’re planning some very cool photo shoots and I can’t wait for my fans to see them.”

Candie’s will reveal details on its Spring 2010 marketing campaign next month. Meanwhile, Spears is beginning work on her seventh studio album, due out in stores later this year.

“Grease” star Jeff Conaway has suffered “devastating injuries” following a staircase accident on Monday morning. His girlfriend says he suffered a brain hemorrhage after the fall.

Vikki Lizzi told TMZ that the 59-year-old actor fell down a staircase at his home and obtained a broken hip, broken arm, fractured neck, and a brain hemorrhage. He is currently in the emergency room and will be undergoing surgery on his hip.

Conaway, who played John Travolta’s best friend in the 1978 classic musical, has had a public battle with drug addiction. He appeared in VH1 reality series “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” in 2008, where it his addiction to cocaine, alcohol, and painkillers was revealed.

He was first married to “Grease” co-star Olivia Newton-John’s older sister, Rona. The marriage lasted from 1980 to 1985.
