Life & Style Magazine Claims Heidi Montag Went Too Far With Her Surgeries
|
In her extraordinary quest for fame, Heidi Montag is shocking everyone with her extreme round of plastic surgery which included 10 dangerous procedures in a single day. Montag spent more than ,000 to complete a full-body overhaul on November 20 of 2009. Sources are now speaking out about Montag to Life & Style, among numerous other media outlets. Montag and husband Spencer Pratt have both been shocked about the hate mail and criticism she has received since revealing her new, plastic self. “Spencer ordered about seven bunches of flowers to cheer up Heidi because she’d received a letter or an e-mail saying that her plastic surgery was against God’s will,” a neighbor of the couple tells Life & Style. “Heidi’s apparently very spiritual, so this kind of criticism really stings.” “She looks like Cat Lady,” a pal of Heidi’s tells the magazine. “It’s all a little too much.” Spencer was also horrified by Heidi’s appearance, according to his friend. “He loved how Heidi looked before this surgery,” a friend of Spencer’s tells Life & Style. “Because she’s still swollen and the surgery hasn’t settled yet, he’s a bit shocked.” |

Osbourne offered a tamer two cents regarding “The Hills” personality’s cosmetic surgery shopping spree. She wrote in Closer, “She was so pretty before, and now she looks like a Barbie doll – I feel sorry for Heidi, she’s obviously insecure.” “It’s the surgeon who should be ashamed. Marvel Update: Studio Head Talks Upcoming Films

Wake up Mr. Norton, Hulk duties are calling.
Superhero Hype has some good quotes from an SFX magazine interview with Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios (well, until Disney says otherwise, I guess), including some interesting info about the “Avengers” movie.
Feige spoke about how it is important for each upcoming Marvel hero’s film to focus on him, creating a franchise for each character that can stand on its own. While new characters may be introduced in the films, the goal isn’t to overstuff them with “Avengers” oriented material. Feige says:
“…it’s not about just cramming in lots of new people; that’s sort of the cardinal sin of the sequel–adding in too many characters.”
Too bad he wasn’t in charge of “Spider-Man 3.”
Then Feige shed a little more light on the “Avengers” team.
“So by the time ‘The Avengers’ comes in 2012, it’s not just a team superhero movie with a bunch of characters with powers. It’s three people – four including the Hulk; five including Nick Fury – who you’ve seen before in other movies, coming together for the very first time.”
So it appears that Hulk is in the loop; in fact, Feige said that a second Hulk film with Edward Norton isn’t out of the question, but that would take place after the Avengers film (slated for release on May 4, 2012). Feige also said that the “intention” is to use the same actors from film to film, so that would put Norton into Hulk action even earlier. If he is so inclined, of course.
Click here if you’d like to see what else Feige had to say–he talks a little Thor and also about other characters he’d like to see hit the big screen.
Music Man: George Lucas Is Making A Musical

Behind the music: George Lucas?
I know, looking at that post title would raise my hopes that George Lucas is making a big, splashy “Star Wars” Broadway musical (and considering how well things have been going with the “Spider-Man” musical, who wouldn’t want to give that a try? Sarcasm, sarcasm…). Unfortunately, it’s a little more prosaic than that. The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog is saying that Lucas is simply producing a CGI-animated musical.
The whole thing is supposedly top secret, hush hush on the QT at Skywalker Ranch, but some details have emerged (sorry, Mr. Lucas, secrets easily tumble these days). For example, Kevin Munroe, who directed the last “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film will be in charge. The script was written by David Beranbaum, who wrote “Elf” and “The Spiderwick Chronicles.” No word on whether it’s based on any existing material, or on Lucas’s own story.
What’s it about? We don’t know except that it’s supposed to involve fairies somehow. Go ahead, laugh for a second, then come back to me. Okay, why does this sound like a good idea? Think of how much money Disney has made from “princess” merchandise. Everyone is always looking for the next big thing and a love for all things fairy isn’t a huge leap for little girls who love princess stuff (let’s throw in unicorns while we’re at it). Don’t forget that just as much, if not more (in fact, probably more) money has come to Lucas through Star Wars merchandise than the actual movies. This sounds like an idea that included some marketing people’s input.
So that’s all we know so far. My biggest concern? If this is a musical who’s writing the music and lyrics?
“The Hobbit” Delayed

The waiting is the hardest part.
The Wrap is reporting that the first part of Peter Jackson’s two film adaptation of J.R.R Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” has been delayed. The film had originally been expected to be released in December of 2011, but now probably won’t be released until “the end of 2012 at the earliest.”
Don’t worry that there are large problems with the film like script troubles, directorial clashes, casting dilemmas, etc. The real issue, it seems, is money. MGM/UA, which will produce the movies along with New Line, is in the process of being sold, and may have to sell its rights to involvement in the films as part of “a larger restructuring.” This won’t be sorted out until the sale is complete.
So the good news is that there aren’t artistic troubles with the productions. The bad news, though, is that this could cause all kinds of scheduling chaos when it comes to trying to cast the films. No word yet on whether casting is on hold until they can clarify the money situation. As for the people already committed, are they stuck in a holding pattern or are they free to do something else for the moment? Namely, can Guilllermo del Toro slip off to do another film before starting ”The Hobbit”? Just wondering–he always seems to have about eight million projects in mind and maybe he could get one off the list now.
