Madeleine Stowe likens Revenge to Hitchcock

madeleine stowe revenge

Really? Madeleine, Madeleine, Madeleine, what are you talking about? “Revenge” is a good show, but it’s not “almost Hitchcockian in some ways. They’re off the hook”. Hitchcock was deeper than what the writers of “Revenge” have managed thus far. Sure that might change, but for now, no, the show isn’t even close to the genius of a Hitchcock masterpiece.

What “Revenge” does do well is the ‘bitchy’, that soap styled snide you might see in a good soap. It also does the build quite well, it seems like each episode will set up the downfall of some bad guy or other. Who is watching “Revenge” and what do you think?

The Walking Dead gets season 2 trailer

the walking dead season 2 trailer

Thanks AMC, starting to plug things a bit more aren’t you, with your new full length trailer for season 2 of “The Walking Dead”. On the downside, it looks like season 2 will be more sexist tripe, the women look like they’re still weaponless , crying and oh, praying now, yeah, that’ll work against the oncoming zombie hordes. Oh well, can’t have it all I guess. Check out the trailer for “The Walking Dead” season 2 below.

Suburgatory S01E01 what did you think?

suburgatory s01e01 review thoughts

Who else watched “Suburgatory” this week? I have to say – aside from Cheryl Hines – I wasn’t really rating this show too highly on my list of shows I was looking forward to, but now after watching the first episode, I kind of thought it was pretty good.

The cast is cool, with Jane Levy as Tessa Altman the perfect mouthy teen and her dad is played to perfection by the highly likable Jeremy Sisto. As far as supporting cast goes, there’s Alan Tudyk (come on who doesn’t like him, he’s like the male version of Kate Walsh), the aforementioned Cheryl Hines who is captivating (once you get past those gleaming teeth!) and last but certainly not least Allie Grant (from “Weeds”) as the tortured neighbour. Did you watch “Suburgatory” and if so what did you think?

Fox orders full season of New Girl

zooey deschanel the new girl Fox

Hardly surprising, but I figured it was worth reporting on. Fox has ordered a full season of their new comedy series “New Girl”. The original order of 13 episodes has been upped to a whopping 24 by the network.

According to Kevin Reilly Pesident of Entertainment at Fox: “We love the charming Zooey Deschanel and the entire cast, we’re knocked out with the work that [creator] Liz Meriwether and the whole staff is doing, and we are really psyched about the upcoming episodes in the pipeline. It’s great that audiences have responded so positively so far and we’re confident that even more people will embrace the show, and more comedy on Fox, this season”.

Sonya Walger joins Common Law

The rather captivating Sonya Walger has finally got a new gig, in the form of cop drama series “Common Law”. This show sounds kind of amusing, it centers on cop buddies played by Warren Kole and Michael Ealy, they have to enter into some kind of couples therapy to get over their issues with one another.

Walger is going to play the smart talking therapist in question. As far as previous roles go, Walger is probably best known for playing Penny Widmore in “Lost” or the Dr. Olivia Bedford in ill fated series “Flash Forward”. There’s something really cool about Sonya Walger, so here’s hoping this show works. Incidentally Michael Ealy was also in “Flash Forward”.
