Alex Reid has released an official statement commenting on the break up between him and former topless model Katie Price. As well as this his mother has also spoken out against her son’s now ex girlfriend.

It was reported that the cage fighter was flying over to Australia to propose to Katie whilst she was in the outback filming the show “I’m a Celeb Get Me Out Of Here”. She then went on to break up with him within hours of leaving the jungle. Currently Alex is in Sydney and so its Katie, but not together, she is awaiting the arrival of her ITV2 “What Katie Did Next” film crew and then it is thought she will meet up to talk to Alex.

In his statement, that was issued through his official spokesman, it says “Alex Reid’s relationship with Katie Price has apparently ended…Naturally there are ongoing telephone conversations between the couple, but Alex has no further comment to make at this time regarding the state of their relationship.”

Alex Reid’s mum Carol has stepped in to criticize the glamour model formally known as Jordan by calling her “cruel” and stressing how worried she is about how her son will cope. Mother Carol has been yet to get her son on the phone and she adds “He really loved her and gave up a lot for her, and this is how he gets treated by her! It seemed very cruel the way she spoke about Alex.”
