Angelina Jolie wants President Barack Obama to take action in Darfur. The A-list star is urging the U.S. leader to act on the ongoing human rights issues in Sudan in a special Newsweek editorial. The 34-year-old actress and activist said she supports the current administration, saying, “Like many Americans, I support the administration’s willingness to engage diplomatically, even with regimes we abhor. And I believe President Obama and his special envoy Scott Gration will do their best to bring peace to the region.” But she also urges Obama to act on the issues soon. |
