The Long anticipated and highly hyped up movie AVATAR opens up today. The movie was directed by Oscar winning director James Cameron. He first conceived the idea for the movie 15 years ago when the technology to realize his vision did not exist. Although it’s early in the day, and the jury is still out, here are some ratings and reviews from around the web.
* IMDB (internet movie database) users give the movie 8.4 out of 10 stars.
* Rotten Tomatoes rates Avatar at 82%
* Yahoo! Users give the movie an B+
* Critics give this movie an A-
* Rolling Stone gave it 3.5 our of 4 stars

Although some of the user ratings may change as more people see the movie and their reviews are averaged in, it sounds like an overall great movie. If you’re into computer graphics, this should be a couple of hours of nothing but eye candy.
