Brandon Barash Assumes Ambassador Role For Health Charity

“General Hospital” bad boy Brandon Barash is taking on a good cause this year as he assumes the title of National Celebrity Ambassador for Muscular Dystophy Association.

The 30-year-old ABC soap star says taking on the new role was an easy decision because he lost a childhood friend to the rare disease, according to the Celebrity Good Life.

As its new ambassador, he will lend his time and name to the charity. And in order to raise money for the MDA, he plans on selling his photography prints and a new photo book he has already published.

Barash says he will have a busy year ahead comprising of MDA events, including starring in public service announcements and giving news media interviews.
