President Barack Obama wasn’t invited to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. The U.S. leader revealed that former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not invite him to their only daughter’s upcoming nuptials.

Chelsea is set marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday in New York. Many prominent figures in both the political and entertainment industry have been invited, but apparently, the current president was left out of the list.

When Obama visited the ladies of “The View” Wednesday afternoon, he was asked why he has previously announced he won’t be attending the former first daughter’s wedding.

He joked, “You don’t want two presidents at one wedding! All the secret service, guests going through (metal detectors), all the gifts being torn apart…”

While reports are saying she’s releasing a country album, don’t hang up those boots just yet, Jessica Simpson. It’s simply for her role as Kelly Canter, a washed-up, out-of-rehab country singer try to make a musical comeback in the upcoming movie “Country Strong.”

The song, “Country Strong,” has been serviced to radio under Kelly Canter, while plenty have started to catch on that it’s actually just clever marketing for the upcoming movie, which also stars country star Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund, and Leighton Meester.

“I won’t stay down long / Because I’m country strong,” Paltrow croons on the track, which features Vince Gill and Patty Griffin on background vocals. It’s the first single from the soundtrack to “Country Strong,” set to be released on RCA Nashville on October 26 and will likely feature even more Paltrow/Canter cuts.

While Paris Hilton has gotten more press lately for her usual partying or being caught with illegal substances than any of her business or entertainment ventures, the 29-year-old heiress is working on her musical comeback.

She’s set to release to her second album, the follow-up to 2006’s “Paris,” which yielded the moderate hit “Stars Are Blind.” While her first album experimented with pop and hip-hop, Hilton has said that the new album is inspired by Kylie Minogue’s electronic sound.

“I really have always loved Kylie Minogue – She’s, like, one of my favorite artists,” Paris told Heat magazine. “I’ve just been really inspired by her. I just wanted my music to kind of emulate her.”

Hilton is filming the music video for an un-named track off her album, expected to be her first single. She’s filming it all the way in Ibiza, international capital of the dance music scene.

Michael Jackson’s mother “hasn’t been doing so well” since his death. Katherine Jackson says in an interview that she has been an emotional wreck since the King of Pop passed away last year.

In the interview shot by the same website promoting her book “Never Can Say Goodbye,” and obtained by TMZ, Katherine says that “not a day goes by that I don’t think about my son.”

The footage was shot before the anniversary of Michael’s death in June. It is reportedly part of a larger documentary on the music superstar’s life.

Aside from the coffee table book, which she co-wrote with Howard Mann, Katherine is also said to be working on a movie that will focus on her late son’s life. Various media sources claim she is making home videos for the documentary.

16-year-old Justin Bieber usually finds his protestors to be the usual teen haters or radio listeners who have been subjected to “Baby” ad nauseum. But this time he’s being protested by Westboro Baptist Church, the infamous hate activists who have targeted Lady Gaga and President Barack Obama, among others, in the past.

The Westboro Baptist Church, who have gone so far as to picket a soldier’s funeral with signs reading “God Hates F-gs,” are planning to protest Bieber’s concerts, beginning with his Kansas City show at the Sprint Center on Wednesday.

According to the hate group, the protest is to “remind all of those in attendance that America’s destruction is imminent.”

“There are no jobs, homes, money or hope, but you’ll pay big bucks to attend rock concerts by the thousands,” the church group writes on their website.

“Jersey Shore’s” Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is revealing how she was able to shed 15 pounds while still managing to party it up while filming in Miami for season 2 of the hit MTV reality series.

Sammi told Life & Style, “I just changed my diet, and the next thing you know the pounds just came off.”

The reality star dropped in for a photo shoot exclusively for Life & Style to show off her new body, minus a whopping 15 pounds. The first thing she changed was cutting out the carbs. She told the mag, “I miss it like crazy, but I don’t eat pasta anymore,” she tells Life & Style. “I eat my vegetables and try to stay healthy.”

Her diet wasn’t the only thing to change, Sammi also took on an intensive cardio routine, saying, “I do soccer drills – I jog a lap, then sprint, jog the rest of the way, then sprint again.”

Oksana Grigorieva isn’t just after her daughter’s safety in her battle against baby daddy Mel Gibson; she’s also after her singing career. The Russian singer is reportedly also prepared to sue the actor for refusing to release her album.

Oksana has recorded an album that Mel executive produced and co-wrote. However, that CD won’t see the light of day if “Mad Max” won’t sign for its release. And it looks like he isn’t in the mood to do so because he apparently believes Oksana is trying to destroy him.

According to TMZ sources, Oksana will be filing a suit against Mel if he won’t sign over his publishing rights on the music.

Although Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer had her “fingers crossed” that the troubled actress will be able to get out this week, it’s not going to happen. Reports that the incarcerated starlet will be released later this week are false.
