Charlie Sheen Pleads Not Guilty In Assaulting Wife Charge
|
Charlie Sheen has pleaded not guilty to assaulting and threatening his wife on Monday. The “Two and a Half Men” star is facing charges of felony menacing, third degree assault and criminal mischief in an Aspen, Colorado court. The 44-year-old star, who was charged under his legal name Carlos Estevez, was arrested on Christmas Day after wife Brooke Mueller called police, alleging the actor held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. His trial will begin July 21. He faces one to three years in jail if convicted. Both Sheen and Mueller said they wanted to reconcile within a week of the arrest. In February, a judge agreed to modify a restraining order that kept them from seeing and contacting each other. |
