Minnesota Twins – 2010 MLB Baseball season preview
It’s kind of hard to imagine that just a few seasons ago the Twins were a candidate for the contraction. Now in 2010 they open a new ball park. Of course giving up the confines of the Homer Dome is one of the big questions facing this team, which will feel like they are in limbo until they can get catcher Joe Mauer’s autograph on a big phat contract extension. They have Mauer for this year, and they might have to make a serious run at a title to keep him. Other random thoughts abut the Twins include the size of their payroll, small market budget my foot.
I cannot believe that they are going to play baseball outside in Minnesota in early April, or late fall. I lie in Detroit, Michigan and I have been to my share of snow interrupted opening days here, I cannot imagine playing baseball outside, that early, further to the north.The Twins have also given up one of their key advantages, they knew how to play in the dome and hit very well there. I cannot imagine, balls flying out of the new park in frigid air like they did in the dome.
Gabourey Sidibe’s Mom Brushes Off Howard Stern’s Criticisms

Gabourey Sidibe’s mother isn’t taking Howard Stern seriously. Alice Tan Ridley, the Oscar nominee’s mom, said that the shock jock didn’t hire her daughter so he has no say if she has a career in Hollywood. Speaking with Inside Edition, Ridley brushes off Stern’s criticisms that the “Precious” star has no career in Hollywood because of her weight. She said, “He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl. She’s a big woman, so what’s wrong with that? She’s not like everyone else in the world? I don’t see giving jobs out to anybody so why should we care what he says? He might not hire her, but someone else will.” And Sidibe’s mom is correct. Someone else hired the 26-year-old newcomer. |
Tell-All Book Claims Angelina Jolie Had Nose Job

Looks like Angelina Jolie has more in common with Jennifer Aniston than just Brad Pitt. The brunette beauty’s voluptuous lips may be natural, but her nose wasn’t, an upcoming tell-all book reveals. “Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: The True Story” author Jenny Paul told Life & Style that the 34-year-old star had a nose job when she was younger. Her rep has denied this claim. Paul also reveals that Brangelina’s six children have five nannies. Each older kid – 8-year-old Maddox, 6-year-old Pax, 4-year-old Zahara, and 3-year-old Shiloh – have one nanny, while the twins – 1-year-old Knox and Vivienne – share one. The author said, “They look after the kids and home-school them.” |
