Charlie Sheen has checked himself into rehab voluntarily. The 44-year-old actor is entering an unnamed facility as a “preventive measure,” and will be taking a break from his CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”

His publicist stated that he has entered rehab but declined to reveal why he was seeking treatment.

According to a TMZ source, Sheen volunteered to check into the facility but there was “no one big thing that happened that made him go.”

His wife, Brooke Mueller, just got out of a rehab to enter another one because of the former’s alleged violation of her privacy. Their kids will stay at the family house with the nannies and other household staff. The couple’s mothers will spend a great deal of time at the house as well.
