"Idol" Reject, Chris Golightly, Reportedly Faked Contract To Get Back On Show

Did “American Idol” reject Chris Golightly fake documents to appeal to the producers to get him back on the show? The aspiring singer was disqualified from the Top 24 of the Fox hit talent show after producers found out he had a recording contract, but he claims he had been released from the deal before joining “Idol.”

Golightly was originally selected as a semi-finalist of the show, but was replaced at the last minute when it was discovered he already had a recording contract with another label.

During a press conference he set up on Tuesday, he claims that he was released from the contract in June, before he auditioned for the show, so producers should reinstate him.

However, as TMZ found out, when he was disqualified, he approached Dream Project Entertainment CEO Lawrence D. Franklin and together, they phonied a document that states he was released of his contract on June 7 of last year.
