Actress Portia de Rossi has appeared on The View talking about coming out and how it is to be married. A few jokes were made, with Joy Behar saying she might have “to turn” when Portia de Rossi described being married as a cool thing and not a lot of hard work. It was then time for the ever conservative (and some say uneducated) views of Elisabeth Hasselback to be heard where she oddly states “men and women…. women want all the rights of men, but they’re not asking to be called men. Do you think maybe Joy is right, maybe it’s the word [marriage] or is that word more important than the rights?
Portia de Rossi takes a moment to consider what Hasselback asks before responding in an articulate manner. It seemed a strange tangent, but it’s an interesting interview. If you missed it you can catch it below courtesy of YouTube.
