TV star Vernon Kay has revealed that he has been having text-sex with five other women. It was first announced that it was just one girl, glamour model Rhian Sugden, 23, who he met in a night club in Bolton, but the dad of two has now revealed there are more.

The shamed presenter has said: “I’ve let down my wife Tess. I’m an idiot. I’ve been stupid and daft but I’m not a sex pest.” Kay has also told how his wife of almost seven years, Tess Daly, hit the roof when she heard the news, stating: “Tess is extremely upset about this and we’re working through it.”

Kay has insisted that he never had a physical relationship with any of the women but admits the exchanging of dirty messages with “four or five girls.” He added that sexy pictures were sent to him as well messages over Skype and Twitter.

The host of “All Star Family Fortunes” has been quoted as saying: “In some ways I’m glad this story has come out. It feels like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I knew it was getting silly. I’m never going to do it again and hopefully I can clear the slate clean and start again. I’m so sorry. I’ve been an idiot and I’ve let my family down.”
